Who we are

On call for everything, by design.

Autonomous Interactions builds infrastructure that runs itself — systems that catch their own problems, plan the fix, and carry it out under human approval. We didn't theorize it; we built a full private cloud and handed its daily operation to the same autonomous layer we build for clients. Founder Ethan Jensen is who you'll work with directly.

The short version

Production discipline, at any scale

We run serious infrastructure the way a disciplined team does — virtualization, redundant storage, identity and directory, self-hosted business systems, security monitoring, full observability. Then the part that sets the work apart: Auto-Infra, our autonomous operations layer. It watches everything — alerts and security vulnerabilities alike — works out what's actually wrong, drafts the remediation, and behind explicit approval gates, carries it out and verifies the result.

Our conviction, demonstrated rather than argued: a small operation with the right harnesses can run infrastructure that normally takes a whole team — without renting a stack of SaaS to do it. When something breaks at 2 a.m., a written postmortem follows. That accountability is the difference between knowing a tool's marketing page and knowing its failure modes.

Strongest at

Where we're strongest

Harness & guardrail design LLM agents in production Virtualization & storage Incident RCA AI-assisted vuln remediation Zero-trust exposure Self-hosted ERP / CI / SIEM UniFi networks & security On-prem, energy-efficient Kernel & runtime internals Python / FastAPI ZFS & data integrity

We work comfortably from low-level hardware faults to LLM orchestration — and we're most useful in the layer between, where the two have to trust each other.

Trajectory

How the lab became a platform.

Foundation

Build the substrate

Five-node virtualization cluster, dual ZFS NAS, domain services, GPU hosts, a zero-trust tunnel for anything public. Boring on purpose — the substrate's job is to be forgettable.

Discipline

Earn the hard-won rules

Running production at the edge of failure teaches lessons no document can. Each one we learned became a written rule — about blast radius, about backups, about never trusting a silent success. The rules became the method.

Sovereignty

Replace the rented stack

Business systems, source control, secrets, security monitoring, automation — self-hosted, integrated, license-free. A pile of separate apps became one system with a single source of truth.

Autonomy

Close the loop

A signal becomes understanding; understanding becomes a plan; a plan becomes scheduled work. Each proposed repair carries a blast-radius estimate and is graded in shadow mode until its accuracy earns the right to act. The first human-approved autonomous repair is already in production.

Now

Generalize it

The harnesses, the world-model, the planner — none of it is lab-specific. It's a blueprint for how a small team runs serious infrastructure with AI doing the toil and humans holding the gates. That's the work we want to do for you.

Approach

Lean by design.

Footprint● no datacenter

It doesn't depend on a datacenter

The whole stack — automation, AI inference, storage, services — runs on efficient hardware we own and operate, not rented capacity in a hyperscale datacenter. Right-sized to the actual work, on-premises and under your control: a small, efficient footprint instead of a metered cloud bill. AI operations that don't have to cost the earth to run.

Security● AI-assisted

It hunts its own vulnerabilities

Auto-Infra continuously scans the fleet for known vulnerabilities and drafts the fix — the patch, the config change, the version bump — then routes it through the same approval gates as any other change. It's supervised today, not hands-off: the patch-automation is still earning the reliability autonomy demands. The goal is vulnerability management that closes its own loop, with a human on the gate until the numbers earn the trust.

Engagement● two ways in

Advise, or build it for you

Bring us in as advisors — to help design the system and make the calls — or hands-on, where we build and wire it ourselves and hand you something that runs. Infrastructure and security systems alike, on hardware you keep. For networking and physical security, UniFi is our first choice.

Operating values

What you get when you work with us.

Honest reporting

If the test failed, you hear "it failed" with the output — not a softened summary. Decisions made on flattering data are expensive.

Receipts, always

Diagnoses come with the exact output that confirmed them. Claims about systems are verifiable, or they're not made.

Calm under incident

Triage order, not panic: check the boring thing first, snapshot before mutating, never compound a failure with an unverified fix.

What we stand for

Two commitments, kept.

Commitment● footprint

Light by default

We treat energy and hardware as costs worth minimizing, not externalities to ignore. Right-sized, owned, on-premises compute — no hyperscale datacenter, no idle cloud burning power on our behalf. Doing more with less is the whole engineering ethic, and it happens to be the greener one.

Commitment● access

Technology within reach

Capable infrastructure shouldn't demand an enterprise budget or a rented datacenter. We believe information and technology should be available to all — and we prove it by building serious systems on license-free, self-hostable tools that anyone willing to learn can run.
